Chemical Process and Energy sectors company, has a fixed-term (12-24 months) contract position available for an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician. Requirements, include a Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the process engineering industry, Age not exceeding 28 years, and Fluency in Afrikaans (first language), as technical manuals are in Dutch and a Dutch language course will be provided.
Remuneration: € 3909 p.m.
Requirements:
- Not older than 28
- Speak Afrikaans fluently
- You have completed a technical education in the direction of E/I with at least a national diploma (NATED N3)
- Minimum 4 years experience as technician in process and energy sectors
- You are in possession of VCA
- Maintenance experience within the process industry
- Demonstrable knowledge of NEN 3140
- Result-oriented
- Able to communicate clearly – Professional English language
- You are able to solve problems
- Can work independently as well as in a team
- Prepared to follow specific internal training courses
Duties:
Responsible for solving malfunctions and performing repairs/revisions to sensors and actuators (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and digital), to process control systems (DCS/PLC) and to E-distributors and motors on through preventive/predicative plans and notifications.
- Ensure that the activities assigned to you are properly performed and that they are neatly fed back and processed in the maintenance system;
- Participate in the on-call service
- Have the drive to continuously improve
- Responsible for the installation you are working on
- Able to make independent decisions regarding repairs and solving malfunctions within the plant
